Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the Taylor Bridge and East Beatton Hill as maintenance work gets underway.

Dawson Road Maintenance (DRM) and DriveBC are alerting motorists of upcoming maintenance set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on February 28 and continue overnight until 3:00 a.m.

During this time, single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect between Big Bam Road and McMahon Drive. DriveBC is asking motorists to watch for traffic control personnel.

Oversized loads exceeding 3.85 metres in width are advised to schedule routes accordingly by contacting Dawson Road Maintenance in advance. Oversized loads will need to wait until after 3:00 a.m. to cross the bridge.

DRM will also be performing maintenance on East Beatton Hill between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. the same day. Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect in the area while the work is performed.

Drivers are being asked to monitor the DriveBC website for information and updates.

This month’s maintenance on the Taylor Bridge is the first since similar work was performed twice in January.
