Dawson Creek to boost green spaces with tree planting program

The City of Dawson Creek is looking for bidders for its Tree Planting Program.

Bidders are asked to supply and plant trees and shrubs in several locations throughout the city.

Officials say the objective is to enhance municipal green spaces with individual pits and larger beds.

Those planning to bid must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the work.

The deadline to submit a bid is on April 22 at 2 pm. Here are the tree planting locations:

  • 17th Street and Willowbrook (south)
  • 17th Street and Willowbrook (north) – planting on berm constructed in 2025
  • Kin Park
  • 16th Street Playground (16th Street and 104th Avenue)
  • Harry Morrow Playground
  • 8th Street Lift Station (southwest corner of Highway 2 and 107th Avenue)
  • Kitchen Park Lift Station
