The South Peace District Crime Prevention Association is organizing a barbecue for Police Week on Wednesday.
The barbecue will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the front lawn of the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment.
Residents are invited to show their support and appreciation for the city’s RCMP officers.
While the barbecue is free to attend, the association will also be accepting donations, with proceeds going to the Tumbler Ridge Resiliency Fund.
“A huge thank you to our volunteers and groups who act as our eyes and ears in the community. They help make Dawson Creek a safer place,” says Staff Sgt. Rob Hughes.
