The Dawson Creek Fire Department was called to a shed fire early Wednesday morning.
The fire broke-out in a fenced-off area next to the Home Hardware in the 1600 block of Alaska Avenue.
The on-duty crew arrived at the scene just before 4 am, finding three sheds engulfed in flames. Backup was called soon after the crew began battling the blaze, for a total of 14 firefighters at the scene.
Fire officials said the blaze started in one shed before spreading toward a large warehouse close to the fire. They said crews arrived just in time to save the building.
The fire department said the incident was suspicious in nature, and Dawson Creek RCMP are currently investigating.
