The Dawson Creek man questioned in connection with the murder of Emily Ogden has been found deceased.
Sources tell CJDC TV News that Aaron Linklater’s body was found at his home on 107th Avenue. Dawson Creek RCMP performed a wellness check after Linklater hadn’t been seen in a number of days.
A source also says that Linklater’s death is not considered to be suspicious.

In April, sources told CJDC TV News that Ogden’s body was discovered in a vehicle near 231 Road in Arras. Sources also say that the vehicle her body was found in, belonged to Linklater. It is believed that he reported the vehicle stolen.
Two suspects were brought in for questioning after Ogden’s body was discovered. The pair were both released without being charged. One of those suspects was Linklater.
Linklater is known to police. He was also the target of a violent home invasion at his residence on 107th Avenue in February 2024. Ogden was charged by police in connection to that incident.
Sources close to the investigation, speaking on the condition of anonymity said, it’s believed Ogden was there to steal drugs and money. The victim was allegedly hit in the face with a sawed off shot gun and sent to hospital.

Just after Ogden’s body was discovered, RCMP investigators wearing white jumpsuits were seen combing Linklater’s residence on 107th Avenue in Dawson Creek, looking for evidence. Black plastic sheets had been put over the windows preventing the public from seeing inside. The home was one of four scenes around the Dawson Creek area that police had secured.
