DAWSON CREEK, B.C. - The Dawson Creek Kinsmen Club has donated $10,000 to the Step Up ‘N’ Ride Society, helping support transportation services for seniors, people with disabilities and other community members who rely on accessible rides throughout the region.

The society operates as a local non-profit transportation service, providing rides for a variety of programs and community needs.

The service help residents maintain their independence, stay connected with their communities and access essential destinations safely and reliably.

In announcing the donation, the Kinsmen said supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents is an important part of building a strong community.

Step Up ‘N’ Ride operates a fleet of buses driven by trained and licensed operators.

The society says the donation will help it continue providing reliable transportation services that allow residents to access programs, services and social opportunities across the community.

The $10,000 contribution comes as demand for accessible and community-based transportation remains an important service for many residents in Dawson Creek and the surrounding area.
