The City of Dawson Creek is marking the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism by lowering flags at all city facilities to half-mast on Tuesday.
The annual observance honours victims of terrorism in Canada and around the world, while recognizing the lasting impacts these acts have on individuals, families and communities.
City officials say the gesture is part of a nationwide effort to remember those affected and pay tribute to victims and their loved ones.
Communities across British Columbia and the country are also taking part in the day of remembrance.
