The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality is welcoming everyone, from pros to first timers, to the Northern Rockies Triathlon this Saturday.
The event is taking place at the Fort Nelson Rec Center, with the first race beginning at 9 in the morning.
Athletes will swim, bike, and run set distances based on their chosen race level.
Participants can choose between an Olympic style race, or a shorter sprint triathlon, and more accessible distances like the dash race and the kids’ race. They can also compete in a duathlon.
Registration is set at $15 for adults over19, while kids and seniors over 60 can join for free.
A finishing medal will be given to participants who registered before August 20, and athletes can sign up individually or as a team.
