Charges have been laid in an alleged violent home invasion in Dawson Creek, this past weekend.
Four people from Alberta are facing charges, after allegedly breaking into two homes with guns drawn.
Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a residence in the 9,300 block of 8th Street, in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Mounties say that two different units were broken into by suspects, who were allegedly carrying and brandishing firearms.
By the time officers arrived at the four-plex, the suspects had fled the scene. However, a witness was able to provide a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Police later found the suspects at a local motel. They were taken into custody without incident.
Mounties said the victims in the home invasions suffered minor injuries. The four suspects remain in police custody.
Dawson Creek RCMP said that this was a targeted event and there is no risk to the public.
