Charges laid after Northern Rockies RCMP seize about five kilograms of suspected cocaine

Charges have been laid following a Northern Rockies RCMP investigation that led to the seizure of approximately five kilograms of suspected cocaine.

Mounties say 41-year-old Basim Mansur is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The investigation began in the summer of 2025 in the Fort Nelson area.

Police say Mansur, who is from Surrey, is now before the courts As a result, no further details are being released at this time.
