A celebration of life for Jennifer and Emmett Strang will take place over the weekend.
Jennifer and Emmett were killed in their Tumbler Ridge home last month by Jesse Van Rootselaar, who later went to the secondary school and killed five more people.
Jennifer was the shooter’s mother, and Emmett was her stepbrother.
The service is for family, friends and residents of Tumbler Ridge only. It will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm Saturday at the Trend Mountain Conference Centre.
“Please join us to share a beautiful memory, and have food and refreshments after the celebration of life,” a social media post says.
