The Dawson Creek Canucks will host the Spirit River Rangers tonight in Game 5 of the North Peace Hockey League semifinals.

What was a best-of-seven series is now a best-of-three. The two teams are tied at two games apiece heading into a pivotal Game 5.

Canucks head coach Marcel Capelle is encouraging the community to come out and support the team tonight. “Game 3 was a great crowd, and we are expecting an even better crowd for Game 5,” he said.

Capelle says those who come to a game for the first time always comment that they can’t believe the quality of hockey in the NPHL.

Puck drop is at 8 pm tonight at the Dawson Creek Memorial Arena. “Come early and enjoy the game,” Capelle said.

Dawson Creek will also host the BC Hockey’s Senior Male AA Championship.

The 2026 Coy Cup will take place March 31-April 4, 2026, at the Memorial Arena. As the host team, the Canucks will receive an automatic berth in this year’s championship.
