A proposed pipeline running from Taylor to Gordondale, Alberta has been given the green light, by the Canadian Energy Regulator.
The Pouce Coupe Pipeline project will see an 89 kilometer pipeline that will start from the existing Taylor Tank Farm facility.
The Commission of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) has released its Recommendation Report regarding the Pouce Coupé Pipe Line Ltd. Taylor to Gordondale Pipeline Project.
The Commission has recommended that a certificate be issued for the project subject to conditions, highlighting its alignment with the public interest and underscoring a strong commitment to transparency, fairness, and meaningful engagement with Indigenous Peoples and stakeholders.
The estimated cost of the pipeline is $341 million. It will carry natural gas and crude oil from the Montney region of BC.
The Canadian Energy Regulator Commission recommends a certificate be issued subject to 40 conditions, which address all aspects of the project from construction and safety to Indigenous involvement and environmental monitoring.
