Football fans in Fort St. John will have a chance to join in the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup this week as the Canada Celebrates tour makes a stop in the city.
The free, family-friendly event will take place at Centennial Park on Thursday and Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
Visitors can watch World Cup matches live while taking part in football-themed activities, cultural programming, and enjoying food and music.
The event is designed to bring communities together and celebrate a historic moment for the country, as Canada hosts FIFA World Cup matches for the first time.
Canada’s national men’s team opens its tournament Friday against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto.
After Fort St. John, the Canada Celebrates tour will head to Tumbler Ridge on Monday.
