Two Fort St. John non-profit organizations are receiving grants from Beem Credit Union through its Fall Community Investment Fund program.
According to the credit union, the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society has secured $10,000.
The funding will support enhancements to the Outreach Store and the Christmas Community Support Program for families in need.
Beem has also awarded $5,000 to the Fort St. John Senior Citizens Association.
The grant will fund the installation of a new roof to help keep the Seniors Hall safe and welcoming.
“Beem invests in programs that empower youth, strengthen families, and build communities,” the credit union said.
These investments are part of more than $62,000 in funding awarded this fall to seven non-profits across the province.
“These organizations are making a real difference in their communities,” said Brian Harris, CEO of Beem Credit Union. “Our support is about more than funding, it’s about believing in their work to build resilience, inclusion, and opportunity across BC.”
