BC CDC reports potential measles exposure at Fort St. John Hospital ER

The BC Centre for Disease Control has reported a new potential measles exposure location in Fort St. John.

Health officials said the exposure occurred at the Fort St. John Hospital Emergency Department on November 26.

They said anyone who visited the ER between 11:06 am and 2:30 pm may have been exposed to the virus.

This is the first reported measles exposure in the Peace Region since November 15.

Officials said measles is still circulating in much of the Peace Region.

According to the BC CDC’s latest update, there are now 278 confirmed measles cases in Northeast BC.
