According to the latest measles update by the BC Centre for Disease Control, the spread of measles continues to slow down across the province.

Health officials have confirmed one new measles case across BC in Thursday’s update. They say that case was reported in the Northern Health region.

That brings the total number of cases across the province to 268, and to 196 in northeast BC.

This year, the BC CDC has yet to report any deaths associated with measles. The update reported that 88 percent of cases come from people not vaccinated against the virus.
