The BC Centre for Disease Control has reported eight new potential measles exposure locations in Fort St. John.
Health officials listed six exposure locations on October 27, beginning at Beem Credit Union from 9:30 am to 11:45 am.
The second site was Scotiabank between 9:45 am and 12 pm, followed by Humpty’s Restaurant from 10 am to 1:15 pm.
Then, an exposure may have happened at No Frills Grocery around 11:30 am to 1:40 pm.
The final two exposure sites were Packaging Depot at the Fort St. John Airport, between 11:30 am and 1:40 pm, and Mama Panda’s Restaurant, between 6 pm and approximately 10 pm.
Health officials added that anyone who visited the Fort St. John Hospital ER on October 29 from 7:45 am to 11:30 am, and on October 30 from 10 am and 1 pm, may also have been exposed.
Officials advise anyone who may have been exposed to use the measles exposure risk assessment tool to determine the next steps.
The BC CDC added that measles is still circulating in both the South and North Peace regions.
In its latest measles update, the BC CDC reported 311 measles cases across the province, and 225 in Northeast BC.
