The BC Centre for Disease Control is reporting 6 new measle cases in British Columbia. Once again, the majority of the new cases have come from Northeast BC.
The four new cases in the region bring the total this year in the Northeast to 278. Almost 80 per cent of all cases across the province, have come from the Northeast this year.
The BC CDC is reporting that the measles is actively circulating in Dawson Creek.
Officials continue to urge British Columbians to get vaccinated. They also say that misinformation is being spread online about the vaccine and is contributing to the rise in cases.
