The BC Centre for Disease Control has identified four new possible measles exposure locations in Dawson Creek.

The health agency said anyone who visited the Dawson Creek and District Hospital from September 30 to October 4 may have been exposed to measles, specifically on the second floor at the Inpatient Unit each day between 10 am and 4 pm, and the Ultrasound Department and waiting area on October 3 between 7:30 am and 11 am.

The BC CDC said another possible exposure site is the Primerica Client Appreciation Banquet on October 3.

Then, another potential exposure occurred at the Rotary Manor, from 7 pm to 10 pm, on October 5.

Health officials said the fourth location is the Dawson Creek Hospital Emergency Department on October 6 between 2 pm and 11:30 pm.

The announcement comes after the BC CDC confirmed two new measles cases across the province in its latest measles update.

It said both cases are currently active. One was reported in Northeast BC, increasing the total there to 208. The province now has 294 cases so far in 2025.
