FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. - Residents using public transit in Fort St. John will see route changes next month as BC Transit and the City of Fort St. John transition back to their regular school-year service schedule.
The changes take effect September 6 and coincide with students returning to classrooms for the fall semester.
According to BC Transit, full service will resume on Route 4 Southeast and Route 5 Southwest, both of which were suspended during the summer months.
To accommodate the return of those routes, additional trips that were temporarily added to Route 2 Southside and Route 3 Central-Prospect Park over the summer will be discontinued.
BC Transit says the September service update reflects changing ridership patterns as students return to school and regular transit demand resumes throughout the city.
Transit users are encouraged to review updated schedules and route information before September 6 to ensure they are aware of any changes to their regular trips.
