Another bar in Dawson Creek has permanently closed its doors. A closure notice was issued for Rockwell’s Pub this week.
Bailiffs have been at the pub, located in the 17-hundred block of Alaska Avenue, throughout the week seizing assets from the popular establishment.
Multiple sources say the reason for the closure is the owner of the pub owes outstanding taxes to the government.
In its current form, Rockwell’s has been in business since 2004. It had been up for sale a few years ago, but the business was not sold.
Rockwell’s owner tells CJDC TV News that she is grateful for the community’s support over the past two decades.
Last summer, the Lonestar Nightclub in Dawson Creek also permanently closed its door.
