An Amber Alert has been issued for six-year-old boy Lanakai Morrison.
Mounties say the boy was taken on Tuesday from the hamlet of Valhalla Centre, roughly 63 kilometres northwest of Grande Prairie, Alta.
The Amber Alert was issued in the early morning hours on Thursday.

He is believed to be with his mother, 35-year-old Krista Morrison, her 35-year-old partner Daniel Ludwig and a four-year-old child named Karl Morrison.
“At this point in time, we have reason to believe that they have remained within the area of Beaverlodge, Alta.. However, we do not have any other information guiding us elsewhere,” RCMP Const. Sandra Geiger told CTV News Edmonton on Thursday.
Lanakai is described as having a slight build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.
Krista is described as 5′8″ tall, with a medium build, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes.
Ludwig is described as 5′11″ tall, large build, brown hair and brown eyes.
The group is believed to be travelling in a 2015 Toyota Tundra with Alberta licence plate CTN9517.
Geiger says the incident stems from a family court order involving Lanakai.
“From what I understand, RCMP were called to assist with the court order, and so from that this incident has transpired,” she said.
Anyone who sees them should not approach and should instead call 911.
