Northeast BC is once again the only region in the province with new measles cases, according to the BC Centre for Disease Control.

The BC CDC has confirmed six new cases in the region. According to its latest measles update, the northeast region now counts 311 confirmed cases since the start of 2025.

Health officials say of the new six cases, three are considered to be active.

The BC CDC says that brings the total number of measles cases in BC to 406.

Health officials continue to say that immunization is the best way to fight the virus.
