Alberta Health Service warns of potential measles exposure in Beaverlodge

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has been notified of a person with a confirmed case of the measles in Beaverlodge, who was in a public setting while infectious.

Individuals who were at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital on July 25 between 11 am and 3:05pm, may have been exposed to the highly contagious virus.

AHS said that Anyone who attended this location at these times, who was born in or after 1970 and has fewer than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine, may be at risk for developing measles.

They should monitor for symptoms of measles and are strongly encouraged to review their immunization records.
