An Air Canada flight en route to Vancouver was forced to turn back and return to the North Peace Airport in Fort St. John.

Air Canada said AC Flight 8366 operated by Jazz experienced a pressurization issue on October 31.

That means the aircraft could not maintain a comfortable and breathable atmosphere inside the cabin when reaching altitude.

The early morning flight was forced to return to Fort St. John and passengers were flown to Vancouver in a different aircraft.

Air Canada said the cause was investigated but did not provide a reason for the issue.

“We sincerely apologize to our passengers for this disruption,” the company said.
