Alberta Health Services announced additional potential measles exposures in the Peace River area.
AHS said the first one occurred at the Primary GP Medical clinic at the Real Canadian Superstore.
Health officials said a person with confirmed measles visited the clinic on July 28 between 9:30 am and just after noon.
AHS added a second potential exposure site at the Fairview Health Complex emergency department on August 8.
They said a person with confirmed measles was at the ER from approximately 11 am to 5:30 pm.
AHS has now confirmed 1,733 cases of measles across Alberta, though only one case is known to be active. They also said 580 cases come from the North zone of the province.
If symptoms of measles do develop, AHS urges people to stay home and call the measles hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting any healthcare facility or provider, including a family physician clinic or pharmacy.
