Adam Dahr sentenced to federal prison time for violent home invasion in Dawson Creek

A Dawson Creek man has been sentenced to federal prison time in connection with a violent home invasion two years ago.

A judge sentenced Adam Kenneth Dahr to almost five years in jail. After taking into account pre-sentence custody, Dahr is being credited with 431 days served. That means he is facing just under four years behind bars.

Dahr was found guilty of robbery after he broke into a home on 107th Avenue in Dawson Creek, in February of 2024. Emily Odgen and a minor were also charged.

Witnesses told CJDC TV News, the suspects entered the residence in the 1500 block of 107th Avenue with guns drawn. The suspects allegedly demanded guns, drugs and money from the homeowner.

The homeowner, well known drug dealer Aaron Linklater was allegedly struck in the face by a sawed off shot gun. He was taken to hospital and required stiches to close a deep gash.

Mounties allege the suspects then stole a pick-up truck from the residence.

The vehicle was disabled by the On-Star system onboard. Police say the suspects left the vehicle in a field near Rolla and fled the scene on foot.

Ogden was found murdered in April of last year. Linklater was then found dead at his home in September. Police believe Linklater’s death is suspicious.
