A section of 8th Street in Dawson Creek is expected to close again Tuesday as crews complete final paving work near the traffic circle.

The closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the stretch just past the traffic circle along 8th Street.

The road was first shut down two weeks ago while crews upgraded a sewer line in the area.

According to the city, the contractor was brought back after repairs completed last year required additional work.

Officials say the repairs are being done under warranty, meaning there is no additional cost to taxpayers.

The road briefly reopened to help ease traffic, but closed again last week so crews could continue paving work.

The city adds the separate project underway at the Alaska Highway Cairn will not impact traffic in the area.
