5 people charged including a violent offender, after suspects allegedly pointed firearms

Fort St. John RCMP have arrested five people after they say, firearms were pointed at a number of people.

On Wednesday morning, police received a report that a pickup truck had been stolen from a residential driveway on the 9800 block of 112 Avenue, Fort St John.

Later that evening, witnesses spotted the stolen truck, stuck in the area of 277 Road near Montney.

Numerous suspects were reported to be with the stolen pickup and Mounties allege, they pointed firearms at the civilians who had located the vehicle.

Fort St John police attended the scene and set up a containment area where it was believed only the suspects remained.

Due to the reports of firearms present, a drone and the North District Emergency Response Team (ERT) was called in to assist with locating and arresting the individuals.

Three vehicles were seized including the stolen truck. Five individuals were arrested, including Gavin Davis, who was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Davis is facing approved charges of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Robbery, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Breach of Release Order and Uttering Threats. He has been remanded into custody until his next court date of March 6, 2025.

Jack Capot Blanc is facing approved charges of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 and Pointing a Firearm at a Person. Capot Blanc has been remanded into custody until his next court date of February 25, 2025.

Shianne Etzerza is facing approved charges of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000. Etzertza was released on a Release Order with a future court date of February 24, 2025.

Barbara Reno is facing approved charges of 355(a) Possession of Stolen Property over $5000. Reno was released on a Release Order with a future court date of February 24, 2025.

Jakob Sherwood was arrested with approved charges of 355(a) Possession of Stolen Property over $5000. Sherwood was released on a Release Order with a future court date of February 24, 2025.

All five individuals remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday.
