FORT ST. JOHN -- More COVID-19 cases have been identified on the Site C hydroelectric dam project in Northeast BC.

Northern Heath confirmed 30 more cases since the latest outbreak was declared on August 16th, workers are primarly unvaccinated.

Confirmed cases are now up to 92, however the site has not identified any new cases in the last seven days and currently only two cases are considered active.

The site has implemented stricter control measures with ongoing monitoring and rapid testing in place, inlcuding testing of asymptomatic workers.

Nearly 2,000 onsite workers have received a first vaccine dose on site and 1,500 having both doses.

These figures do not include workers that have been vaccinated outside the project through their local health authority.
