FORT ST. JOHN, BC -- A teenager has been arrested after a break-and-enter in Fort St. John.

RCMP were called to a commercial break-and-enter Thursday morning just after 2:30am. It happened at a business on the 10100 block of 100th Street in Fort St. John.

Frontline police officers on patrol in the area saw a youth exiting the business and dropping a stolen item as they fled on foot. Police pursued the youth and arrested them.

The suspect was released on an Undertaking with conditions not to go back to the business. A parent was also notified. Police will recommend charges for break and enter, mischief, theft under $5000, and resisting arrest.
