DAWSON CREEK -- The group responsible for the ‘1 Million March for Children’ is holding the ‘Worldwide Stop the War on Children Rally’ across North America with protests taking place in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John

The group said it aims to stop the perceived exploitation, indoctrination and sexualisation of children.

They also believe kids are being sterilized and mutilated.

Last month, a number of gatherings were held across BC to protest the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum.

Protestors gathered in both Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.

According to people at the protests, children were being exposed to inappropriate sexual content through the curriculum.

The rally in Fort St. John was met by a peaceful gathering led by the Trans Alliance Friends, Family and Youth Society. According to the board, the curriculum created a safe space for students.

Staff at the City of Fort St. John responded to the protests and said, “we firmly believe that every individual, whether a resident, business owner or visitor, should be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their personal beliefs or choices.”

The Dawson Creek rally will happen on Saturday at the NAR Park starting at 10am and go until noon.
