DAWSON CREEK -- style="text-align:justify"> A chase between Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek on Sunday morning led to shots fired from a vehicle.

Just before 10 am, police received a call about an SUV attempting to run a dirt bike off the road.

While the dirt bike managed to evade the SUV, a woman driving a car crashed into the dirt bike sending the two vehicles into a ditch. Police say the car rolled over the dirt bike before coming to rest in the ditch.

The male dirt bike rider fled the scene on foot. The female driver of the car was picked up by men in a white truck.

A chase then ensued between the white truck and the SUV down Highway 2 towards Dawson Creek.

According to Mounties, a male passenger in the white truck hung out the passenger side window and started firing a 12-guage shot gun at the SUV near 8th Avenue and 110th Street.

The shotgun blast blew out the rear window of the SUV. Police say that miraculously no one was hurt during any of the events.

Dawson Creek RCMP said that the dirt bike was reported stolen then the SUV was reported stolen as well. Finally the driver of the white truck has now reported that vehicle stolen also.

There have been no arrests made in connection with the police investigation. Mounties are asking anyone who was in the area of 8th Street and 110th Avenue at the time or anyone who may have dash-cam footage to contact them.
