FORT ST. JOHN -- Six people have been arrested after RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Fort St. John.
During the late afternoon hours of March 14th, police entered the home at 10017 92nd Street where they found a large quantity of drugs including cocaine, meth, psilocybin mushrooms, hydromorphone pills, and painkillers.
“The residence was set up like a drug convenience store with a sales counter set up just inside the door,” said Constable Connor Watson.
According to police, illegal cigarette cartons and a firearm was also found.
RCMP seized five ounces of cocaine, meth, and magic mushrooms, and arrested two males and four females at the residence.
“The individual believed to be running this unit will be facing significant numbers of charges as a result of this search warrant,” said Watson.
RCMP allege individuals were trading items or using prepaid credit and gift cards as currency in exchange for narcotics and unstamped tobacco.
