CHETWYND, BC -- Northern Health is warning people across the South Peace Region about potential diversion in the coming weeks.
The health authority says staffing shortages may cause intermittent disruptions at the Chetwynd Hospital and Health Centre. If nursing coverage cannot be maintained, the emergency department may go on diversion on short notice.
In Tumbler Ridge, hours at the Health Centre may change on short notice as well, again due to staffing shortages.
As always, anyone who needs emergency care should still call 911. If a diversion is in place, you will be transported to the nearest available facility.
