Bus routes in Fort St. John to detour until fall due to construction and road closures

FORT ST. JOHN -- Construction along bus routes will impact public transit users in Fort St. John starting later this month.

BC Transit is advising customers that all five local routes will be detoured starting April 15^th.

The Northside (1), Central-Prospect Park (3), and Southwest (5) routes will bypass construction closures on the 100^th Street Corridor between 103^rd and 106 Avenue.

The Southside (2) and Southeast (4) routes will divert around road closures on 89^th Avenue between 78A and 86 Street.

The transit service is warning that some stops will be temporarily closed and is asking customers to keep an eye out for replacement stops that will be set up along impacted routes.

The changes may effect transit times with detours set to remain in effect until construction is completed this fall.
