DAWSON CREEK -- Mike Bernier, MLA for Peace River South, has endorsed Kevin Falcon to be the next leader of the B.C. liberal party.

Bernier says the only way the liberal's will win the next provincial election is to have someone like Falcon, who can win in all areas of the province.

He believes the former finance minister is the only candidate who's able to win in the lower mainland, an area where the NDP have almost all of the seats.

“If we do not win some seats in Surrey, Vancouver, Maple Ridge, in the Tri-city area, we will be in opposition and we will continue to have an NDP government,” he said.

Falcon is British Columbia's former Deputy Premier and one of six candidates in the BC liberal leadership race.
