FORT ST. JOHN -- Update: RCMP have released details describing Reno, who was reported missing on Friday, November 1st, 2024.

"Family has not heard from Gary since Thanksgiving which they say is out of character for him," said RCMP in a release. 

Reno was last known to be living and working in the Pink Mountain area, and may be driving a 2014 black Mitsubishi Outlander.

Gary Brandon Reno is being described as:

  • Indigenous male
  • 29 years old
  • 5'8"
  • 221 pounds 
  • Brown eyes
  • May wear glasses

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Fort St. John RCMP Detachment.

A Fort St. John mother is appealing for the public's help in an open missing person’s case.

Gary Reno hasn't been seen since October 20th. Since being reported missing, Stephanie Dettieh says her son’s phone and bank accounts have not been used.

Reno is believed to be driving a black SUV; a missing person’s file (10133) is open with RCMP.

Mounties with the Fort St. John detachment could not comment on the case, but confirm they are actively following up on leads.

The 29-year-old was due in court today on charges of assault and breach of undertaking.
