DAWSON CREEK -- A man wanted by Dawson Creek RCMP on a slew of charges has been arrested.

Dawson Creek RCMP confirming the arrest of 34-year-old Michael Trosky, who police have been searching for the since the beginning of May.

According to RCMP, Trosky had been actively avoiding police with Mounties warning at the time he was known to take drastic measures to avoid being apprehended.

He was wanted on 13 unendorsed warrants stemming from multiple charges including flight from a police officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle, obstructing a police officer, assault, theft, and breach of probation orders.

Trosky is also known to police in Alberta with outstanding warrants in connection to similar charges in that province.

According to police, Trosky was known to frequent Southern parts of B.C. as well.

In 2019, Trosky was wanted on outstanding warrants connected to a series of events that played out in the Okanagan and Shuswap areas over two months.
