Fireworks are not permitted in Dawson Creek or Fort St. John this Halloween.

The City of Dawson Creek Fire Protection Bylaw states that the city “further restricts the time between October 24th and November 1st in any year, where a person must not sell, give or set off fireworks.” Anyone who does may be subject to a fine through the City of Dawson Creek Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw.  

The buying, selling, or use of fireworks are also not permitted in Fort St. John. Anyone who does is subject to a $100 fine.
