DAWSON CREEK -- A Dawson Creek man with a long criminal history has had his conditional sentence order suspended for 2 weeks.

Adrian Meck was arrested after he breached a condition of his conditional sentence order.

The 36 year old has a long list of convictions dating back 19 years. In the past he's been found guilty of assault, possessing firearms and drugs, theft and 6 counts of breach of recognizance.

Meck has also been found guilty of ipossessing a firearm without a license, possession of stolen property, break and driving while prohibited.

Meck has been also charged in the past with 4 separate counts of breach of a release order. Despite his long criminal history, a judge has granted Meck bail.

He's under a curfew from 10pm to 6am. Meck cannot be released into the community without an ankle monitoring bracelet.

Because the judge ordered Meck to be released on a Saturday, no one is available to fit him with a monitoring device. So Meck will be freed without a device until sometime next week when he can be fitted with one.
