DAWSON CREEK -- A fugitive arrested this week in Dawson Creek after being on the run from police has been released on bail.
Amid a heavy police presence on Tuesday, Tanner Murray was arrested in a motel room at the Travelodge.
Murray had been wanted by police on charges of robbery and uttering threats since mid-December. Mounties had warned the public not to approach the 29 year old.
Despite also facing earlier charges of flight from police and possessing a dangerous weapon, a judge released Murray.
Crown prosecutors opposed the idea of releasing Murray but Judge McDermick let him go. Murray was released on a $10,000 bail with conditions.
