DAWSON CREEK -- UPDATE: The City of Dawson Creek has announced that as the tree is being transported and set-up, road closures will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to noon on November 17, impacting the area of 10th Street and 102nd Avenue.

An iconic holiday event returns to Dawson Creek next week.
The annual Christmas Tree Light-Up will kick off the holiday season November 22nd. Spectators are encouraged to come out and enjoy the lights and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate.
The event, put on by the Rotary Club and South Peace Oilmen's Association, kicks off at 6:40 p.m., with the tree being officially lit up at 7:00 p.m.
It will be held downtown between 10th Street and 102nd Avenue.
