DAWSON CREEK -- A community-wide foot search was conducted in Dawson Creek Friday for a man missing since December 31.st

Dawson Creek RCMP say Cole Hosack was last seen leaving the Lone Star night club at around 11pm on New Year’s Eve.

Family, friends and members of the community scoured Dawson Creek searching for the 24 year old from Prince George.

Cole’s girlfriend Morgan Crawford said, “'we’re following every lead that we’ve gotten and we’re doing everything we possibly can to try and find him.”

Crawford said Cole’s phone has been turned off since he went missing and his bank cards have not been used.

Cole was passing through Dawson Creek. He was travelling from Prince George to Medicine Hat for a job that was supposed to start on Friday.

Crawford said Cole has experienced tragedy this year. Cole lost his young nephew in the spring. Then the couple’s baby died 8 days after it was born from a heart defect.

Crawford said she didn’t know if those tragedies had anything to do with Cole’s disappearance. She says she has no clue how or why he would be missing, it’s not like him.

"My only goal is to find him, however I may find him. I just need to find him and bring him home. He's got kids. He's got a son who just keeps asking where his dad is and i just need to bring him home for him.”

Dawson Creek RCMP have brought in extra resources in their search for Cole.

The North District General Investigation Unit from Prince George is combing through video footage and conducting interviews.

Mounties once again stress, there is no evidence to suggest that Cole's disappearance is related in any way to the other three high-profile disappearances in Dawson Creek over the past twelve months.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a fight outside the Lonestar Pub in Dawson Creek that occurred sometime between 11:30 pm, December 31, 2023 and 00:30 am, January 1, 2024, to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at (250) 784-3700.
