The Fort St. John Huskies have started their new season the same way they left off last year.
The defending NWJHL champions were in Dawson Creek Thursday night. The Huskies beat the Kodiaks 4-0.
Jackson Powers turned aside all 41 shots he faced for the shutout.
Fort St. John will travel to Beaverlodge next to take on the Blades on Sunday afternoon. As for the Kodiaks, they are off to Fairview to face the Flyers on Saturday night.
