DAWSON CREEK -- Human remains have been discovered in the Kiskatinaw River west of Highway 97.
Sources tell CJDC TV News that a body was found by a worker who was testing river water on Saturday.
Dawson Creek RCMP are not commenting on the matter because the file has been taken over by the North District Major Crime Unit.
Investigators are remaining tight lipped about the discovery, that is fueling speculation that the remains may belong to one of the 4 people from Dawson Creek, that have gone missing in the past 15 months.
Non police sources confirm to CJDC TV that investigators have already spoken with the father of Renee Didier.
Didier went missing in early December. Footage taken from a security camera. Showed Didier at a gas station in the early morning hours of December 3
The images of Didier, who sometimes goes by the last name Supernant, were the last time she was seen before going missing. Didier was last seen wearing a black coat, a white shirt and ripped jeans.
No information is expected to be released by police including the name of the victim, until forensic analysis has been completed.
