FORT ST. JOHN -- Mounties in Fort St. John responded to a report of shots fired in the 8600 block of 74th Street. It happened just after 4:30 Friday morning.

RCMP say a number of suspected bullet holes were found in the residence and a vehicle in front of it, however there were no injuries to anyone inside the home.

According to sources, the residents have been a problem for the neighbourhood. There have been reports of fights, a number of calls to bylaw officers and at least one attempt to evict the tenants.

Fort St. John RCMP have confirmed to CJDC TV that the house and the residents are known to police.

Constable Chad Neustaeter said, “Investigators will be giving this top priority in efforts to locate and arrest the offenders”, adding that the offenders show a “complete disregard for the safety and wellbeing of the residents and the entire community as a whole”.

Police are asking anyone who has information on this matter contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
