A section of Highway 97 will be closed on Tuesday for avalanche control.
According to Drive BC, the highway over Pine Pass will be closed for 45 to 60 minutes between the noon and 4pm MST on January 24th. The closure will stretch for roughly 84 kilometers, between Powder King Road and Old Hasler Road (or 4km south of Pine Pass Summit to 23km south of Chetwynd).
The closure is scheduled due to CN Rail conducting avalanche control work in the area.
