FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- The Fort St. John Huskies are off to a great regular-season start this weekend.

On Friday, the Huskies opened their regular season in Dawson Creek against the Kodiaks. The Huskies won 4-3.

Nathan Brownlee scored the first goal of the season for the Huskies, Kurtis Lee then scored the game-winner.

Then on Saturday, the Huskies took on Grande Prairie, beating the Kings 6-3.

The Dawson Creek Kodiaks also played on Saturday against the Sexsmith Vipers, where they lost 2-1.

Next week, the Huskies take on the Fairview Flyers while the Kodiaks make their way to Peace River to play the North Peace Navigators.
